                                 THE CIRCLE OF LIFE

Latisha grabbed the mounds of letters from her mailbox and sighed. She already knew what the pile of letters were before she even looked at them or opened them up; bills, bills, bills. Rent = bill, car note = bill, credit card = bill, student loan = bill, cell phone = bill. The list went on and on. The debt she owed each month was starting to feel like a bottomless pit, and she was constantly falling. The shit was starting to be ridiculous. Things didn't seem so bad when she had her full-time job at the airport and her little part-time job at Target. Yeah, she was still just barely getting by back then, but she was always able to find a way to get by. Things had taken a serious turn for the worse when she became a casualty of the massive layoffs at the airport, and as if that weren't bad enough, she became a casualty again when Target began laying off loads of employees right after the big Christmas time credit card scandal. Latisha had not had a steady full-time job for eight months now and she was starting to have major trouble trying to keep up with her bills. She was fortunate enough to find a little "under the table" job at a barbershop washing hair, but making money at that job mostly relied on the kindness of the customers who gave her a tip. On a good day she could make up to $200 in tips, but she only worked three days a week and most days were not good ones. The only money that was guaranteed money for Latisha was her $648 unemployment check that came every two weeks. Even that little money wouldn't be coming in for much longer. Unemployment checks didn't last forever and Latisha's was about to run out in the next two and a half weeks. Things seemed to be going from bad to worse for her. Latisha couldn't find full-time work to save her life. It wasn't from a lack of trying, because she filled out hundreds of job applications each month, but still nothing. She hadn't even been called for an interview in over three weeks. Latisha shook her head as she thought about her current situation. She sighed loudly.

"This can't be life."

At least not hers. Her life was supposed to be so much different. That's what everybody had always been telling her and that was what she'd always believed....

Latisha Douglas was born 22 years ago. She was supposed to be a twin, but her sister didn't make it out of the womb alive. Latisha's parents were ecstatic that they had a baby girl, but they were also deeply saddened by the fact that her twin didn't make it. They decided not to try to make any more babies, and they focused all of their love and affection on their baby girl that did survive the birth. Latisha was a spoiled brat from the very moment that she took her first breath. Her momma and daddy wouldn't have had it any other way. Latisha's father was a big time criminal defense lawyer who'd worked his way up through the ranks and became a partner of his own law firm. He made big bucks and lived to make his wife and daughter happy. Latisha's mother was 25 years old when Latisha was born and 30 years younger than her husband.

Latisha's mother was beautiful and she'd always known it. She learned that her body and beauty would get her anything she wanted at a very young age. Tiffany was a South Philly hoodrat, who at the age of 12 was in a serious relationship with Mel who was one of the biggest drug dealers in Philly at the time. She was driving a Benz and wearing fur coats and expensive diamonds when she was in Middle School. She got used to having the finer things in life at a very young age, and once she got a little taste of the finer things she knew there was no way that she would accept anything less. When her boyfriend was gunned down and killed in a strip club two years later she was deeply saddened by his death, but she wasn't worried about losing her fabulous lifestyle because she knew there were hundreds more drug dealers in the city just like Mel, and she could easily get one of them. After Mel, Tiffany got into relationships with many more drug dealers over the next two years. They always seemed to die or go to jail quickly and she was always left heartbroken. At 16 Tiffany decided that the smart thing to do was not fall in love with the drug dealers, but just use them to get what she wanted. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but she soon realized that most dudes with a bunch of street money had a main chick at home. The main chick always seemed to find out about Tiffany, and Tiffany found herself in fight after fight over someone else's man. Tiffany was a hoodrat through and through and enjoyed a good fight every now and then, but things got a little too real for her when one of the main chicks caught up to Tiffany and slashed her face with a razor blade. That was the final straw for Tiffany. Her face was too beautiful to be out here in these streets getting slashed up by these ugly girls over a man. Tiffany was done with any kind of street dudes or dudes that didn't make any kind of legal money. She had to switch her pitch up. At 17 years old she met a 46 year old white guy named Matt at a Mcdonalds she worked at in Center City. Matt played Wall Street and had made millions of dollars in the stock market. He had every luxury in life that he wanted except for a bad bitch to share his fortune with. At 17, Tiffany had the looks of Christina Milian with the body of Miracle Watts. Matt had never seen a woman so beautiful and he was instantly infatuated with Tiffany. He wined and dined her and Tiffany was thoroughly impressed. Tiffany wasn't the dumb type to make the same mistakes twice and she made Matt move her in with him so she could be sure that she was the main chick and not his little chick on the side. Matt was actually happy with that, it played right into his plans to be with her and be able to control her every move. Matt had a big mansion in New Jersey. Tiffany did not work anymore from the moment she moved in with Matt. All she did was shop all day and have sex with Matt every night. Tiffany loved her new lifestyle. She married Matt three months after her 18th birthday. It seemed like a match made in heaven until Matt started to become obsessed with having a baby with her. There was no telling if it was her or him, but no matter how much they tried Tiffany could not get pregnant. When she finally did, she had a miscarriage. Matt became frustrated by Tiffany's supposedly polluted womb that couldn't carry a child for a full pregnancy and he started to become argumentative and abusive. The two physically fought every night. Tiffany usually held her own against the much bigger Matt, but she always came out of every fight battered and bruised. After 18 months they got divorced. Tiffany went back to her mother's house in South Philly with exactly what she'd left with.....very little. She was only 20 years old and already divorced. Tiffany found a job in a bar in Center City and just played the field for a little while. During her time of playing the field she had sex with a guy named Steve on one occasion. Steve was a regular at the bar, he was there every night. Tiffany always attracted older men and that was usually the type that she was attracted to. She was not trying to fall in love again. She just wanted to get whatever she could out of the older men. After she had sex with Steve he sent her a dozen red roses to her job the very next day. She thought that was sweet, but she just couldn't take Steve seriously. He reminded her of Bill Cosby. The jello pudding pops commercials always popped into her head whenever she saw him. It took everything in her not to bust out cracking up everytime she saw him. Tiffany immediately knew that having sex with Steve had been a big mistake. He just happened to be at the right place at the right time one night when Tiffany needed some sex and was drunk and horny. She barely remembered anything about the night. Tiffany tried to handle the situation with care being as though she would probably have to see him every night at work. The last thing she wanted was any kind of awkwardness at her place of employment. She told Steve that she had a boyfriend and she'd made a big mistake by sleeping with him. Steve wasn't deterred. He tried to get with Tiffany again every night after that.  After a month straight of begging he finally wore her down and she decided to let him take her out on a date. She made it crystal clear to him that sex wasn't happening. That was a one time thing that had been a huge mistake. Steve didn't care he just wanted the pleasure of being in Tiffany's company. Steve was different from anything that Tiffany was used to. He didn't drive a nice car or flash a lot of money. Their date was a trip to the movies where they shared a bucket of popcorn and a walk around Penn's Landing afterward. Tiffany hated to admit it, but she liked him......a lot. Tiffany knew that people tend to feel a certain kind of way from a first date, so to check and see if what she was feeling was really real, she decided to go out with Steve again. They had another cheap date. A dinner at Kentucky Fried Chicken and a drive out to Fairmount Park to sit on the grass and talk. They talked about everything. They didn't have the normal male/female conversation where somehow every topic came around to sex in some sort of way. They had real conversations about current events, politics, heaven and hell, and shit like that. None of that talk about clothes and shoes from her and none of that talk about sex from him. No man had ever taken the time to talk to her about anything but sex. This was new and exciting territory for Tiffany.  New and exciting made Tiffany horny. Tiffany kissed Steve and told him how she was feeling right now. Steve told Tiffany that he adored her and wanted to eat her out all night long. Tiffany called his bluff, from her experience with men, when most people said that, they didn't mean it literally. When they got in the back of Steve's car and he started eating her out, she truly believed that he would have ate her out all night if she didn't beg him to stop after an hour and a half straight. At this point Tiffany really didn't know much about Steve's personal life, but she loved him. She'd been with guys for money before and it never felt as good as being with someone because you really loved them did. She really didn't care how broke Steve was, she was in love with him. After months of dating she found out that Steve wasn't broke at all. He was a lawyer who'd just opened his own law firm with two of his partners. Tiffany was shocked when she found out. When Steve asked to marry her Tiffany gladly accepted. She knew with all her heart that this time would be different. She was right too.

Tiffany and Steve got married two years later and things only seemed to get better. Their love for each other was constantly growing and so was Steve's legal practice. The day that they found out that Tiffany was pregnant was the best day of both of their lives. The day that she gave birth was bittersweet however, due to the loss of one of the twins. The surviving twin Latisha made the pain of losing one of the twins much easier. She was a mirror image of her mother from the minute she stuck her little head out of the vagina. Both parents were instantly in love with little Tisha. Tiffany held Tisha in her arms and promised her baby that as long as her parents walked this earth, Latisha would never have to depend on anyone except her mother and father for anything. She vowed to shield her baby girl from the harsh realities of life and what some women had to do to survive....by any means necessary.

Tiffany kept her promise to Latisha and by the time Tisha was five years old, million dollar birthday parties were the norm for her. Tisha had everything a child could ever want growing up. She even had a pony that the family kept on their barn in rural Pennsylvania. The family's main house was in Beverly Hills and Tisha was growing up to be one of them 90210 kids who were totally unaware of the every day struggles of normal people. Tisha loved her mommy and adored her daddy. They constantly told her that no man was good enough for her and that any man who would ever want her should have to work hard to get her attention. They told her she was a princess and should never settle for anything less than a prince. Tisha believed her parents and she carried herself in the manner that she thought a princess should. Everyone was beneath her and should be happy just to be in her presence. In elementary school Tisha was the most popular girl in school, but she had very few real friends. Tisha was waaaay beyond conceited. The other kids only acted like they liked her because they were all scared of her because she was so mean. Tisha'a attitude became even worse when she started middle school. She was a splitting image of her very beautiful mother and all of the little boys liked her. Tisha got a kick out of letting the little boys know how beautiful she was and how ugly they were. She was a mean girl and she attracted other mean girls. Latisha became the leader of the mean girls clique and everyone in the group looked up to her. At 11 years old Tisha had her own chauffeur who drove her around town in a Rolls Royce. She also had her own credit cards that she loved to use. Her cards had no limits. Latisha had no clue what responsibility was. All her and her little friends did was shop and talk about less fortunate people. They found it hard to comprehend how some people could just sit around and be poor. Tisha and her friends considered every poor person a lazy bum. They didn't know any better. When Tisha bought her theory on why poor people were poor to her mother, Tiffany took all of her credit cards away from her and told her "this is how people become poor." Tiffany was starting to think that Tisha was getting out of control. She was starting to believe that she was hurting her daughter more than helping her by giving her everything she wanted. She knew her baby would not be ready for the real world when she got out there and Tiffany was starting to feel like it was her fault. She hoped that taking her credit cards from her would teach her something. Tisha cried liked she always did when she didn't get her way, and just like always her daddy came to her rescue. He snuck into Tisha's room and gave her a platinum credit card with no spending limit. He told her not to tell her mother that she had it. Tisha's dad was her hero and she adored him. He was the most important piece of the puzzle that was her happy life.

Tisha's happy life was shattered when her dad died in a plane crash the very next year. At the time she had no idea just how much her happy existence would be shattered.

Steve's partner's in the law firm were real life sharks. Steve's death gave them the opportunity to take full control of the firm just as they had always wanted to. Within three months of Steve's death they had total control of the law firm. They all but erased any existence of Steve being affiliated with the law firm. When everything was said and done Tiffany got a check for $78,000 from the partners in the firm. They had royally fucked Steve's wife and child and felt no remorse about it. Tiffany would have been worried about that if that were her biggest problem. Steve was being sued by a big company that he'd done some legal work for in the past. They were out for blood because they lost a huge amount of money when they were dealing with Steve. They went after any assets that Steve owned in order to collect on the big settlement against him. They took everything. Tiffany was left with nothing and she was forced to leave her home behind and run back to Philly with her tail tucked in between her legs. Tiffany thought that she would have some type of a security blanket in her mother, but that was a no go. Tiffany's mom had moved out of her house and into a one bedroom apartment with her new boyfriend without ever even telling her daughter about it. Tiffany felt that trying to move in with her mother would be an invasion of her privacy. Tiffany decided to go at it alone. After paying taxes that her now deceased husband owed Tiffany had less than $5000 left from the $78,000 check that she got from his partners. She rented a house on 12th & Somerset Streets in North Philly and immediately set her sights on finding a job. Tiffany was now 37 years old, but she still had her sexy shape and could have easily passed for 24-26 years of age. She could have tried to hook another rich dude and lived on easy street. She did it before and she knew she could easily do it again, but this time was different. She had a 12 year old daughter who was watching her every move. Even though she knew living and maintaining was going to be a struggle, Tiffany refused to use a man as a means to get by. She was going to show her daughter that a single woman could handle her business without being messy or using whorish tactics to get by.

Tisha was in shock throughout the whole ordeal. Being taken from the comforts of her Beverly Hills home and lifestyle to the filth named North Philly that she now lived in was beyond anything that she could have ever imagined. Tisha did not adjust well to her new enviornment and deep down inside she felt that all of this was just a dream and she would wake up soon. She stayed in her room all day and only came out of her room to eat. When Tisha started to cut down to eating one time a day Tiffany knew that she had to take some kind of action. Tiffany was a friendly person by nature and she was a Philly girl at heart. She settled in right away and quickly became friends with a few of the neighbors. Tiffany became coolest with Evelyn who lived across the street. Tiffany invited Evelyn and her daughter over to the house one afternoon. Evelyn's daughter Chantel was Tisha's age and Tiffany hoped that the two would hit it off. Tisha and Chantel became friends immediately. Tisha liked Chantel because of the stories she told her about her life and Chantel liked Tisha for the exact same reason. They always say opposites attract. That saying held true in this situation. After a few days Chantel even got Tisha to venture outside into the beautiful summer day with her. Tiffany was scared to see her very naive daughter venture outside into the North Philly streets, but she knew that it was something that had to be done. Her baby girl needed to get a taste of reality. Tiffany always sat on the steps and made Tisha stay in her sights at all times while she was outside. Tiffany soon got a job at the Coca-Cola factory with Evelyn and had to leave Tisha home alone while she was at work. Before she did she reminded her daughter of the values that her and her father had instilled in her from the day that she was born. She told her no company in the house while she was gone except for Chantel and that she wasn't to go outside while she wasn't home. The very first day that her mom left her home alone Tisha called Chantel over to the house. When Chantel noticed that no one else was there she was immediately looking to take advantage of being alone in a house with no parents or a bunch of people inside. There were three generations of her family living in Chantel's house and someone was always home. An empty house was a new experience to her and she planned on taking full advantage. Chantel called her boyfriend Rock over to the house and told him to bring his friend Rob with him. Tisha had never been alone with boys before and she was nervous as they waited for the boys to get to the house. When the boys got there Chantel and Rock started kissing right away. They immediately went upstairs and left Tisha alone downstairs with 15 year old Rob. Tisha's nervousness quickly turned into fear the moment Rob started feeling on her. She was too scared to tell him to stop. When Rob got on top of her and started trying to take her clothes off all she could think of doing was screaming. Her screams must have been loud enough to be heard because a half minute later Rob was on the floor trying to cover his face while Chantel stood over top of him wailing on him. She kicked Rob and Rock out of the house and apologized to Tisha for calling the boys over. Tisha had imagined that she was going to get her first kiss and it was going to be a beautiful experience like she'd seen in movies thousands of times before, but Rob had messed that fantasy up for her. Tisha knew that it was going to be a long time before she let a boy get anywhere near her again, but on the bright side she knew that she had a friend for life in Chantel.

As the school year began Tisha and Chantel became closer than ever. It was very rare to see one without the other. Tiffany now held down two full-time jobs to make sure her daughter had nice things to wear to school everyday. She was also trying to save some money for Tisha's college education. Tiffany dedicated her own life to trying to make her daughter's better. The only time she was ever home was when she was sleeping. Tiffany had no kind of a social life. Latisha started school in September. Tisha was very popular from the moment that she walked into the new school. All the boys liked her and all the girls wanted to be like her. She and Chantel were in very few classes together, but they still tried to hang out at school as much as they could. Chantel had a reputation at the school for being a hoe. The girls talked about her in whispers behind her back because Chantel also had a reputation at school for beating people's asses. No one wanted any trouble from Chantel. That meant no one wanted any trouble from her bestieTisha either, being as though everyone knew how tight the two were. Everyone knew that a problem with Tisha would be like having a problem with Chantel, and anybody with any kind of sense knew that was the type of problem you didn't want. Tisha grew to love her neighborhood, her friends, and going to school. She now loved North Philly and everything about it. She couldn't imagine living anywhere else. Tisha and Chantel went to seperate High Schools the next year. Tisha became an honor student who teachers and everyone else she met had high expectations for. Chantel rarely went to school and became a bigger and bigger whore in the neighborhood. By the time she was in 10th grade Chantel was whoring outside of the city limits. She had boyfriends in Jersey, Deleware, and New York who gave her money and she went to see regularly. Her and Tisha slowly drifted apart due to their very different lifestyles. Tisha wasn't with all the whoring around and skipping school. She wanted to go to college and become a pediatrician one day. Plus Tisha got into her first serious relationship in 10th grade. She spent all of her free time with her boyfriend Jason. He was the love of her life. Jason was the star  point guard on the basketball team and he was already being highly recruited by all of the major colleges. He was also the perfect gentleman as far as she knew. He never pressured her to have sex or anything like that. Tisha had a feeling that he was a virgin just like she was even though he denied it every time the subject was bought up. When Tisha bought Jason home to meet her mother, Tiffany approved of the young man. This made Tisha happy because she looked up to her mom and her approval on anything Tisha did in her life was very important to her.

On her 16th birthday Tisha got a job at the Aeropastle store. Tisha wanted to follow in the example that her mom had set for her and she was out to make her own money and not have to depend on anyone for anything, just like her mother did. When she explained to Tiffany that this was her reason for wanting a job, Tiffany cried her eyes out. She was so proud of her daughter, who at 16 years old  looked exactly like Tiffany had at that age and was stacked the same way Tiffany was at that age. Tiffany didn't panic though because she knew that she raised her daughter the right way and Tisha was nothing like Tiffany was at that age. Tiffany was proud of her daughter and to show her how proud she was of her she took her out and got her a brand new Range Rover. Tiffany was already barely making it without the car payments, but she was willing to do anything for her daughter and if she had to get two more jobs to make the payments, then that was what she would do. Tisha worked as much as she could and she saved most of her money. She wanted to be able to pay for her own upcoming prom expenses, she didn't want to put that burden on her mom. Tisha saved up enough money to pay for her own dress, she paid half of the tab for the rented limo that her and Jason went to the prom in, and she paid half for the luxury suite that they would be spending the night in after the prom. Tisha had sex for the very first time on her prom night and it was terrible. Jason had no idea what to do and on top of that he was visibly scared. She was the virgin and she had to show him what to do and where to do it at, even though she wasn't really all that sure herself. When Jason was finally able to maneuver into the right spot he came after 38 seconds and four strokes. Tisha was highly dissapointed. She rolled over and pretended like she was sleep just so she wouldn't have to do it again. In the morning she gave Jason another shot at it and he redeemed himself. It wasn't incredible or anything, but it was much better than it had been the night before. Tisha knew that her and Jason were going to be together forever because they both were obviously each other's first.

Tisha got accepted to Syracuse University, but she didn't want to go. She wanted to stay in Philly because Jason was going to Villanova in the fall. She did not want them to ever be apart for long periods of time. Tiffany talked some sense into her child and Tisha reluctantly went off to school at Syracuse in the fall. College was not something that Tisha was prepared for. She was used to being the prettiest girl at school and having the attention of everyone who crossed her path. Tisha was still a very pretty girl, but at college she was just another of the many pretty girls walking around the campus. Tisha tried to walk around and act as if the lack of attention didn't bother her even though it was clear that it did. She focused on her studies. When she wasn't in class, working, or studying she was on the phone with Jason. It didn't take her long to realize that Jason was at school cheating on her and she began talking to him less and less. By the time Christmas break rolled around, the two weren't communicating at all anymore. To Tisha's surprise she didn't really care. She really thought that she would care a lot more. She thought the world would stop existing if her and Jason broke up, but it didn't. The sun still rose every morning and the world didn't stop or slow down at all. This was the exact thing that Tiffany told Tisha when she was so reluctant to go away to school because she was scared that her and Jason would break up. Once again mom's advice was correct. Her mom was her idol and hero. Her mom was her rock. Her mom was her everything. Latisha was fortunate to have a woman like Tiffany be her mom. She had no idea what she would ever do if she lost her mother.

Tisha went home for Christmas break and spent her vacation time with her mother. She was having the time of her life even though they really didn't do much besides talk and laugh. She simply enjoyed her moms company. It made her really appreciate having family. Some people were all alone in this world. When Tisha went back to school she started to loosen up and she made a few friends. When she started going to the parties and people got a chance to really see how she looked and was built inside the tight skirts and jeans she started wearing, Tisha became wildly popular at Syracuse. Just like in high school every dude was trying to get with her. Everybody wanted to be the first one to get at the pretty freshman. Latisha knew it and tried to be very picky about who would be the one lucky guy at the school who she would give her heart and body to. Latisha picked Lamar. He was one of the more popular dudes at the school. He was nice to her, she found him attractive, and he had a great sense of humor. She always had a good time whenever she was around him. He seemed like a nice enough guy. Tisha decided to let him take her out on a date. He told her that he was taking her to a party that a friend of his was having off campus. Tisha loved college parties and she gladly agreed to go to the party with Lamar. When she got to the party with Lamar she quickly realized that she had walked right into an orgy. There were people drinking and fucking everywhere in the house. Folks were just out in the open fucking, kissing, sucking, nobody seemed to care who they were fucking or care who might be watching. To Tisha's surprise, when she saw all of the action she wasn't repulsed, scared, or shocked. She found herself feeling excited and a little horny. Latisha and Lamar joined in on the festivities and enjoyed themselves at the orgy. Lamar was cool about it and he kept the details of what went on at the party between them two. Nobody at scholl was at the party or even knew about it except for them two. Latisha and Lamar began to make the orgy's an every weekend thing. Tisha was starting to get her first real experience with sex and she was enjoying every minute of it. Tisha became the biggest undercover freak on campus and no one even knew about it except for Lamar, who was smart enough to keep that info to himself.

Tisha breezed through her first year at college with all A's. Her sophomore year was shaping up to go the same way until she received terrible news from back home. Tiffany had been in a terrible car accident on her way home from her second job. She was on life support and most likely wouldn't live too much longer. Tisha rushed home to try to see her mother before she passed, but she didn't make it home in time. Tiffany was gone and Tisha was devastated. She had family in Philly, but she truly felt like she was alone in the world. Her mother, hero, and rock was gone. Tisha sank into a deep depression. She moved back into her mothers old house and cried all day every day. A few days after Tiffany's funeral Tisha got a call from someone who said he was her mother's lawyer. Tisha went to meet with her mother's lawyer and was shocked to learn that Tiffany had left her some money. She had $50,000 that she would receive right now, and she would get another $75,000 when she turned 27. Tisha was about to turn 19 and she figured that $50,000 was not going to last long without some income coming in. She decided to drop out of school and try to find some type of work. Tisha found a job at the airport and quickly got a part-time job at Target afterward. She'd seen her mother work two jobs on the regular and Tisha figured that having two jobs was the right thing to do. Tisha enrolled in CHI Institute a few months later to pursue a nursing degree. Tisha's whole life revolved around work and school after that. She had no kind of social life, just like her moms last years of her life were. Tisha always wondered if her mom was truly happy all of them years that she didn't have a man. That was one of the only ways that Tisha didn't want to be like her mom. She did not want to live out her life with no one to be happy with, no one to come home to, and no one to cuddle with at night. Tisha made it her mission in life to find a man. Not just any man, that would be easy. She wanted a man who lived up to the standards that her parents had set for her. She refused to settle for anything less. Tisha started to hit the local club scene in search of her perfect match. She didn't find him after a couple of weeks and quickly forgot about her search for the perfect man and just threw herself into the club scene. She was at the club every weekend and got caught up in trying to live like she was a big time baller. Tisha was blowing thousands of dollars on the clubbing, the expensive clothes, and weed and champagne. That little $50,000 was gone in less than a year and she tried to maintain her lifestyle with her two jobs. Tisha met a guy named Rasul in a bookstore a little over a year ago. She fell for him immediately. He was 35 years old and had just come home from doing seven years in the penitentiary. He told her all about his past as a stick up boy and he told her that he did seven years behind a home invasion that went bad. He explained to her that in some weird sort of way getting locked up had been a blessing, because he was sure that he would be dead today if he had not got locked up. He became Muslim when he was locked up and slowly started leaving his old ways behind him, where he hoped they would stay. Tisha fell for Rasul and the two became a couple. She quit the club scene and spent her time working and being the perfect girlfriend. Everything was cool with their relationship except for Rasul trying to convert her to Islam and marry her every other week. Tisha loved Rasul, but she was not trying to be walking around garbed up from head to toe. She always made up an excuse when he asked her to convert. She didn't want to lose him, but she did not want to become muslim or get married right now either. She also did not want to live with anyone right now, she made that clear to him on more than one occasion. Tisha valued her independence and was way too head strong to let a man take care of her or even split her bills with her. That was her thing and she could handle her own business, just like her mom had when she was alive. When Tisha lost both her jobs she started to feel a little different about allowing Rasul to help her out with her bills, but even though she struggled like hell to make ends meet she never asked him for anything. Not having a job was stressing Tisha out and not being satisfied sexually by Rasul was stressing her out even more. Tisha's childhood homie Chantel sent her a message on Facebook and told her that she was coming back home this weekend. Tisha was more than excited to see her old friend again. She was going to forget about all of her money problems and everything else that was wrong with her life this weekend. This weekend was going to be about Tisha getting her groove back. She already had in her mind that she was going to find a dude to cheat on Rasul with this weekend. It didn't matter who it was or what he looked like, she just wanted a change from the same ol' routine sex that she had every time her and Rasul slept together. She was not looking for someone to make love to her, Tisha was looking for someone to fuck her.......good.

Tisha ran to the front door when she heard the doorbell ring. She knew it was Chantel. She couldn't wait to see her old friend. Tisha was shocked when she saw how Chantel looked now.

"Look at you bitch! All skinny and shit!"

Chantel spun around with her hands in the air.

"I'm still thick in all the right places though!"

Chantel ran into Tisha's arms and held her tightly. It had been years since they last saw each other. Tisha had seen Chantel's picks on her Facebook page before, but she had always assumed that her pics were airbrushed or Chantel was using some kind of filter for her pics or something. She had no idea that Chantel had actually lost all that weight. She was always the cute fat girl when they were younger, but now that she'd lost all of the weight her and Tisha could pass for twins. They were both very beautiful women. Chantel moved back and looked Tisha up and down.

"It's nice to see you sis. I see you're still as beautiful as ever."

Tisha laughed.

"I try. I try."

Chantel laughed and playfully pushed her.

"So you still a virgin or nah?"

They both started cracking up laughing.

"Naw it's been a looooong time since I been a damn virgin. Sometimes I wish I still was one though."

Chantel shook her head and smiled.

"I know that tone. That's the sound of a woman who is not getting satisfied at home."

Tisha smiled.

"You know it. Come on in and sit down."

Tisha led Chantel to the living room and took a seat on the couch.

"You want something to eat or drink?"

"You got some liquor in here?"

"I keeps some liquor in here. You want some Henney?"

Chantel nodded. Tisha headed off to the kitchen to get the alcohol and hollered over her shoulder as she got to the kitchen.

"How the hell you wind up in Vegas?"

"Same way I ended up everywhere else I been. Chasing that paper."

Tisha walked back into the living room with the bottle and two glasses. She sat the stuff on the table in front of Chantel.

"Don't tell me you was following behind some nigga from state to state."

Chantel poured herself a drink and took a sip.

"Hell naw! I be getting my own money any kind of way that I can. I don't need no nigga to carry me. I know how to get my own money."

Latisha didn't push the issue. She really didn't want to know what her friend did to get money. She swiftly changed the subject. She told Chantel that she wanted to go out drinking tonight. Chantel said she wanted to go out too. She told Tisha that she was going to go to her mothers house to get dressed and come back a little later so they could hit the town. Latisha couldn't wait.

Tisha and Chantel found themselves going to a little bar/lounge out Southwest Philly called Glenn's Lounge. It was a little hole in the wall spot, but it was a cool place and had a relaxed kind of atmosphere. Tisha and Chantel were easily the two most beautiful women in the joint. Men were coming at them left and right. Everytime they did Chantel was shooting them down, some of the ones she was shooting down was Tisha's type. Tisha was confused and she wanted to know what was up with Chantel after she turned away the Morris Chestnut look- alike.

"What was wrong with him? He was exactly the type of dude that I like."

Chantel waved her hand at Tisha.

"You don't want him. That nigga broke and corny."

"How you know? You don't even know him."

"I don't got to know him personally. I know his type. That nigga doing too much. Walking around flashing money and shit. Real players don't gotta show everyone that they got it. That nigga pump- fakin'."

That sounded like some bullshit to Tisha, but she didn't say anything. She just sat there and played along. She was now more curious than ever to see what type of dudes Chantel considered to be worth their time. It didn't take long before she found out what type of guys Chantel fancied. Two guys approached their table and Chantel immediately invited the guys to sit with them. Neither one of them was Tisha's type and she was not interested at all. One of them was a fat white dude and the one that was trying to talk to her was sporting a mohawk. Tisha hated guys with mohawks. She considered them attention seekers. Why the hell else would a grown ass man rock a fuckin' mohawk? Tisha played along though, for the sake of not having anything else to do. Mohawk bul sat down next to her and extended his hand to her.

"I'm Devaughn, but everybody call me D or D-Money."

D fuckin Money?? This nigga couldn't be serious. Tisha almost bust out laughing right in his face. Could a person possibly be any more corny than this fool? She composed herself and smiled as she shook his hand.

"I'm Tisha."

D smiled.

"I like that. Is that short for something or is that your whole name?"

Tisha rolled her eyes. This cornball didn't even know how to start a conversation. The one thing that did intrigue her though was his accent. He definitely wasn't from Philly. She was kind of curious to know where he was from.

"It's short for Latisha. I know you ain't from Philly. What little country ass city you from?"

D laughed.

"Why I gotta be from the country somewhere?"

"The way you talk gave it away a little, but all of the gold teeth in your mouth was a dead giveaway."

D nodded.

"I'm from Atlanta."

Tisha smiled.

"I was going to guess Alabama or either Atlanta. So let me guess, you some kind of a rapper, actor, or party promoter?"

D was a little confused and kind of insulted that he was being stereotyped like this.

"Why you say that?"

"I assumed that was what everybody in Atlanta did or wanted to do."

D's face turned serious. He looked her directly in the eyes as he spoke.

"You make an ass out of yourself by assuming. I actually work for a church and we're expanding to the Philadelphia area. I'm out here scouting land for us to build a church on. We're also out here trying to expand our employment training program for the youth and young men of the city. Young men in Philadelphia between the ages of 18-25 are a group of the most at risk young people with all of the violence going on in the city. Our goal is to show these young men that there is a better way to live. Also show them that somebody cares about them. I stopped in here with my friend to try to spread the word to some of these young men in here."

Tisha put her head down. She was embarrassed by her behavior. She'd done to D what folks had been doing to black people for years and years. She stereotyped him simply based on what he looked like without even getting to  know him.

"I am sooo sorry! I really feel stupid now. I would have never guessed that you were a reverened or preacher or something."

D laughed his ass off.

"Naw I'm a party promoter. But I do go to church sometimes though."

Tisha laughed and playfully punched D in the arm. The ice was broken. Tisha liked the way that D had broken the ice. The more they talked, the more she was starting to really like him. D was a smooth talker and he was witty with his words. This was not what she was expecting when she saw the grown ass man rocking a mohawk. She found herself solely focused on D. She forgot that Chantel was even sitting there until she passed her a drink. Tisha drank it and kept talking to D, she really didn't even notice that Chantel seemed to be passing her a drink every 5 or 10 minutes. Tisha just kept drinking and talking to D. After the 5th or 6th drink Tisha was feeling dizzy and woozy. She was shocked because five or six drinks was nothing to her. It usually took her that many drinks just to catch a little buzz. D's homie Jimmy suggested that the four of them take their little conversation back to his hotel. Chantel eagerly agreed before Tisha could say anything. Tisha was going to go anyway, it really didn't matter. The thing that was puzzling her was that she could not see what D and his white homie had in common. She couldn't understand why the two men who were as different as day and night were hanging together. It had been pretty obvious to her that the two men didn't really know each other all that well. Tisha put the thoughts aside and headed to the hotel with the men and Chantel. All she really cared about was spending more time with D.

By the time the four got back to the hotel Tisha was barely awake. Everything was spinning and she felt like she was going to throw up. She was looking for somewhere to lay down the minute she got to the hotel. She laid across one of the two beds in the small room and closed her eyes. Latisha felt D kissing her. She put her arms around his neck and kissed him back right before she blacked out.

Tisha woke up in D's arms in the morning. She couldn't remember anything that happened last night, but from the dried up cum that was on her stomach and legs it was pretty obvious to her that she'd had some kind of sex last night. Tisha gently crept out of the bed. She looked for her panties, but couldn't find them anywhere. She didn't have time to look for them right now. She grabbed her sundress from the floor and put it on. She shook Chantel and woke her up. Chantel got out of the bed and started getting dressed. Tisha searched for her shoes and panties while Chantel got dressed. She had no luck finding her panties, but she found her shoes on opposite sides of the room. Chantel and Tisha snuck out of the room without awakening the two sleeping men. Tisha could have sworn she saw the white guy wearing a pair of panties just like hers when the covers came up a little as Chantel had first gotten out of the bed. Tisha figured that she was probably trippin.' She paid it no mind.
